Things I do at work

I'm absolutely convinced that, of the 265 hours I have worked to-date (as dictated to me by my recent pay stub) at The Engineering Groupe, about 60 of them were spent doing actual work. You see, I'm what they like to call a "tech on-call," which basically means I'm getting paid to sit here in a ready position to wipe someone's arse for them whenever the call comes in. That and make FTP sites. It's pretty frustrating at times, because there will be days (like today) in which I have absolutely nothing to do save watch the Support box and make sure everyone's taken care of.

But when there's no one to take care of, that throws quite a wrench in the scheme!

Needless to say, I'm glad that I only have two more days of work, a day of errands, and then vacation. I have to go get my county inspection sticker and a renewed driver's license before then, but that's what Thursday is for (in addition to doing laundry). I'll have the house to myself.

Grad school is bugging me. I wish there was a way to simultaneously get my MM and my MDiv, but there's not really an efficient way to do that. In all likelihood I'll get both, but I'll have to get them separately. Oy, I never know what to do in this kind of situation--especially because both options feel right.
